A Note About Thanksgiving...
In our home we're constantly striving to do better when we know better.
I remember my first year teaching in a K-1 elementary classroom. I was co-teaching, and the expectation from the veteran teacher I was working with was that we celebrate Thanksgiving with the kids in the "traditional" way, with Pilgrims and Indians as one big happy family. The thing is... Now that I'm the veteran teacher with more than twenty years of experience, I know that our kids can handle the truth.
Our Indigenous communities are the original keepers of the land, living with intention with plants and in relationship with nature.
During this holiday weekend we re-commit to forever learning, growing, and advocating for balance and accountability in our home and in our community.
When we count our blessings, having your support for our small business, and this dream of sharing the magic of plants with kids and families, are at the top of the list of things we're thankful for!
